April has been a very exciting beauty month for me. I’ve had to shop a LOT for my blog as I have been a little out the loop since falling out of the beauty industry a few years ago. I wanted to get re-aquainted with some old favourites and discover new favourites and so, without further ado, here are my favourites for this month:

April Favourites 2014
Stila Stay-All-Day foundation: This stuff has been on my face almost every day of this month. You can read my full review of it here, but let me just tell you, this is some good stuff right here. Good coverage yet lightweight and that little concealer in the lid! Gets me every time!

April Favourites 2014
My customised Inglot eyeshadow palette: When I first discovered Inglot a few months ago I kind of just stood there for a few minutes trying to take it all in. All those colours. It’s beauty Heaven, I’m sure of it. So the first thing I did was to make myself a little palette and was expecting for it to be quite expensive but then the sales girl said that it was like eighty-something rand for an eyeshadow and I almost fell over. Say what?! That’s like the same price as a lot of drugstore eyeshadows. I decided to go for my favourite taupes and browns for my first palette but I’m thinking I want to go back and make myself a more Autumn/Wintery palette with deep purples, etc. This eyeshadow has also been worn pretty much everyday because it’s just SO wearable! Blends so easily, good pigmentation and lasts all day without creasing. What’s not to love?

April Favourites 2014
Stila Glamoureyes: This mascara is simply fantastic. Created voluminous, long, fluttery lashes, lasts all day and doesn’t flake or irritate my eyes. That’s pretty much everything I ask of a mascara and at around R190, this is something you need to have in your make-up kit!

April Favourites 2014

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive + Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee: I put these two together as I wear them together almost daily. I love both of them separately but the Elusive can be quite pink on me (like Barbie pink) and the Creme Brulee is VERY nude as in it’s a perfect match for my skin tone so it makes my lips disappear a little but layered over each other they create this gorgeous “my lips but better” look which I’m totally into.

April Favourites 2014

L’oreal Inoacolor hair mask: This mask, you guys. I can’t even sing its praises enough. Every single time I use it I fall more and more in love with it. It smells delicious, leaves my hair silky soft and nourishes and my hair looks healthy and happy because of it. Read more about it here.

April Favourites 2014

Clarins HydraMatte lotion: This is an old favourite that I re-discovered this month. I use it in the mornings after washing, toning and applying serum. It leaves my skin looking matte but feeling hydrated and is such a good base for my foundation. I also love that it smells very faintly like cucumber. So refreshing.

April Favourites 2014

The Bodyshop Camomile oil cleanser: This is now the only product I use to remove my make-up. I’ve used it every single night this month and I just love the way it melts my make-up off (including stubborn mascara and eyeliner) and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean.

April Favourites 2014

Nivea DNAge hand cream: Going into the colder months, my hands suddenly go dry, flaky and parched. They actually look thirsty and no matter how much cream I put on, they can never get enough but that was until I found this amazing hand cream. The scent is lovely but unobtrusive and the cream sinks into my skin immediately. It leaves my hands looking and feeling well nourished but doesn’t feel greasy or sticky. I in fact now have three bottles. One in the bathroom, one next to the couch in the lounge and one in my bag. I am never without this stuff.

What are your favourites for this month? Have you tried any of these products? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
