I don’t know about you but I am mighty impressed with Revlon lately. I think they are putting out some insanely awesome products and with every launch, I’m left falling deeper and deeper in love with this iconic brand. My make-up collection has been sporting a lot of Revlon lately and I have been so impressed with almost all of it. This primer in specific. I wanted to try it because I find that there are very few drugstore primers that do a very good job. All I really want from a primer is to make my make-up last longer. I don’t mind if it doesn’t “illuminate” or make me look perfect. I just want my make-up to stick. The test for me is my nose. I have a very troublesome nose that absorbs make-up at an alarming rate and so that’s where I test my primers first.

First of all, applying this primer feels sooo good. It’s glides on effortlessly and then, the magic happens. It blurs all your pores and imperfections making  you look just that little bit more perfect ( I guess that’s where the “Perfecting Primer” comes in). I always let my primer ‘sink in’ a little before applying foundation but with this that wasn’t even necessary. It absorbed immediately and applying foundation over it was dreamy. My skin looked smooth and clear and the foundation just looked better than it normally does. Then the test, does it do what I want a primer to do? After being out all day and not really checking my make-up, I got home around 8 hours later to find my make-up pretty much looking exactly the way I had left it that morning. Fine, my mascara had disappeared a little, my lipstick wasn’t on and over my cheeks and nose a little bit of my natural redness had started shining through but over all, my make-up was all still on. This is not something that happens often to me so you’ll understand my elation at this new development. All-in-all, this is a fabulous primer and definitely one to try if you’re looking for a good, affordable product that delivers on its promise.

Do you apply this to your eyes as well? My biggest problem is my eye shadow just wont stay! Within 4 hours all the beautiful blending and work is all gone! I use foundation + powder + primer (not a fancy shmancy one). Today I have tried using white eyeliner as the base as well to see how that works.

Yes I have applied it to my eyes as well. I now use the Lorac eye primer I got with my palette but I know smashbox and I think Stila also do eye primers. It really is worth splurging on. You use the tiniest amount and it really does make your eye make-up last all day!
