When I first saw this product online I was dying to get my hands on it. I am a shameless Body Shop fan (as you can tell by my recent haul) and in particular, I love their Vit E range. As I’ve been struggling a lot of dehydrated skin lately, this range offers affordable products that nourish and hydrate my skin quickly and effectively. When I finally got my hands on a bottle, I couldn’t wait to try it out.

The Body Shop Vitamin E overnight serum-in-oil

Firstly, the packaging is lovely. I love the baby pink ceramic bottle and the dropper makes for no-mess, no-fuss decanting and application. As with all their Vit E products, the scent of this serum-in-oil is pleasant, subtle and just kind of smells like it’s going to do good things to your skin, if that makes any sense. But, like I’ve said before, all of that doesn’t matter if the product is meh. I am happy to say that this little bottle of magic is anything but meh.

I’ll go on the record to say that this serum-oil-magic-potion-thing is probably the best of its kind that I’ve tried. It has completely replaced both my Clarins and BalmBalm oils (even though I still use those for weekly facial massage) and I can’t get enough of it. First of all, it is a fraction of the price of both the other oils at only R140 for 28ml. Second, this product is simply beautiful. It is absolutely dreamy to apply, sinks into your skin immediately, not greasy at all and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and nourished. My skin is plump and youthful-looking when I wake up and my skin texture is smoother. What’s not to love? If I’m looking for a serious moisture boost I’ll use this over my serum, before I apply moisturiser but now that it’s getting warmer, I often apply it as both a serum and oil (I think that’s kind of what they were going for). In my opinion, The Body Shop has knocked it out of the park with this one. The high concentration of wheatgerm oil combined with sweet almond oil and jojoba is a wonder combination and if I were you, I’d run out and pick this up asap. This is good stuff you guys.
