Stila Smudge Crayon in Umber

I bought this Stila crayon in Umber in the RubyBox sale a while ago and didn’t really know what to expect but really liked the colour. It also promises to be waterproof and can be used as a primer, a liner and an eyeshadow. I like me a bit of versatility, I do. When I got it I swatched it and thought “Pretty colour, but not sure I’ll be able to use this all that much.” Well, I’m here to tell you that I’m eating those words right now as I have not, NOT used this for an entire month. I use it every.single.day.

I use it on my lower lash line to add a bit of depth and colour. I use it on a blending brush to accentuate my crease. I use it to line my top lash line. If it wasn’t so bronzy, I’d probably use it on my eyebrows too. This little crayon is magic my friends. It’s quite intense in pigment and dries very quickly so  you have to work quick when you work with it but through trial and error I’ve figured out the best ways to use it. As an eyeshadow, I brush it straight onto the bristles of my Sigma E25 brush and blend it into my crease and if I want a more intense look, I blend it all over the mobile lid. That makes for the most gorgeous bronzed smoky eye (which I’ll probably do a tutorial on soon). When I use it as a liner on my bottom lid, I just swipe it on and blend with my finger quickly until I get the desired effect.

I haven’t tested its waterproof-ness yet but I can tell you that this stuff does not budge. I have an idea this is going to become one of my holygrail products relatively quickly. Just love it.
